Is Knee Replacement Surgery a good treatment for a too old people?

Knee replacement surgery can be done for a patient above the age of 75-80 years. They are strictly provided with medical fitness and are good in health with their daily activities living restricted with painful arthritis of knee joints.

Will it be painful after the surgery?

Yes, it may be painful for some time but we will keep comfortable with appropriate medications. Also we manage your pain with pills in giving intravenous medication as need. Before surgery, your surgeon will discuss with you what pain control option is well suitable for you.

How long the scars will be?

The scar will be for 6-8 inches long and it will be straight down the centre of your knees unless you have previous scars. There will be some numbness around the scar that will not cause any problems.

How do I know that I need Knee or Hip Replacement Surgery?

Got to know Dr. Sriram through my friend. Had sustained a sports injury in my ankle, the pain wasn't going away for month even. Visited him , he is a such a polite ,calm and composed person, took time to diagnose the issue and helped me with medication and few ankle strengthening exercises. Now am better in a week's time. Highly recommend him for his humbleness and way of treating patients with calm and composed nature. Get prior appointments though, walkin you might have wait for sometime but not longer as in other places. His clinic is also well equipped.
